Default Black taillight bezels installed ...

I picked up a set of the VentShade rear bezels. They are smoke transparant lexan just like the typical side window Ventshades. To create the retro look I sanded them down and the primed and painted with satin black.

Looking good.....where did you get those bezels and how much were they? I have been looking for some black ones but all I find are the chrome ones. Look at getting the reflective C-stripe down the sides of your car. That would look sharp.

Those look good, and they look strangely familiar too I did the same thing on mine, I painted them flat black to match the vinyl blackout panel. Looks a lot better than the smoked plastic, that's a weird finish for them.

The lower 3M tape isn't sticking all that well on mine ... I've had to push them back down twice ... any issues with yours?

When I put the driver's side on, the &*%^ing thing was sticking out about 1/4" from the lens. I thought the pieces probably just fit poorly. Then I put the passenger side on and it fit perfectly flush with the taillight lens. Then I said some 4 letter words and proceeded to carefully remove the driver's side while trying not to tear the tape [:@] I did get it off and noticed they had done a poor job of applying the tape to the trim piece, it was lapping up the sides and preventing it from sitting flat on the lens. I trimmed the tape from these areas and reapplied it and it went on perfect.

FYI ,you can get the taillight bezels through Advance auto parts. They are VENTSHADE part # 35610 ,$46 . Excellent upgrade to the black-out panel. Legend GT
