RE: Stang in the winter question
Don't put the sandbags in the trunk, it'll raise your front end and you'll lose steering control. Put one on each side of the floor in the rear seat area, and it should be plenty. When starting off, start off in 2nd gear. Too much power to the wheels and you'll lose traction. Use very little increases in power or you'll lose traction. Don't lock the brakes or you'll lose all control. In snow don't turn the wheel too sharp or the tires will plow the snow and you'll lose traction.

But no sandbags in the trunk huh? I heard that works for people.

Sandbags can be no farther back than on top of the rear axle to do any good. If you can get them over the rear axle in the trunk that's fine, but the farther to the rear you put them, the more the front will come up. Do a test before the snow with the bags in the trunk and you'll see even on dry pavement how much steering control you'll lose. 200 lbs is too much in my opinion, 100 lbs should be plenty.
