F***ING SPEEDBUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi guys...sorry, just ranting...i just gave a ride to my cousin and i found this poorly made speedbump in this street where everybody used to speed. Of course I was also going fast, and didn't had time to slow down enought to pass it carefully and I bottomed out. F%ยท"CK!!!! And i'm not overreacting, when i say poorly made, it really was poorly made. Like it was just concrete thrown in the street by a guy who lives there that doesn't like cars speeding. It was not a nice sound. Does anybody know what parts could be damaged for bottoming out on these S197's??

technicaly if there is any damage you can sue the guy, he is not authorized to put that there. I would call the police and file a report so if there is any damage you can force him to pay. Of course i wouldnt tell them your real speed if you were speeding.

Speedbumps "KILL" all low profile cars...
In Chicago, we have plenty which are usually around schools...
In the days when I learned to drive, we had none...
You could sail down any street and not have to worry about bottoming out or scraping your spoiler on one. But that was a long time ago...

Seriously, I hate those speed bumps they put in neighborhoods. I usualy crawl up to them, cross them, then nail it as fast as I can to the next one. The upadity folks hate it. Problem is a bought a yellow Mustang and they are rare and they can be easily identified.

yeah, i talked to my cousin and he just told me that this guy actually made a request to put a speedbump there. so, the plan to sue that a__hole wont go through.
About the damage to the car, i really hope that the only damage would be in the exhaust pipes. Does anybody know if i can damage the driveline or the exhaust O2 sensors??
i dont know where these o2 sensors are in our cars.

I hear you man, i do the exact same. I swear that if this guy had anything to do with the bad state of the speedbump I will get some long tube headers and loudmouths and floor it right when i've passed that speedbump at 5 a.m. !!!

RedfireGT, you can do some serious damage to your headers and entire exhaust system... I'd check it out, I know a girl with a 2000 Mustang who bottomed out and had to get $1600 of headwork done...
