this is the latest artist rendition of the 2009 Mustang...the 08 09 mustang according to FORD Themselves will have an entirely new look the only thing exterior LOOK wise that will be similar to the current s197 is the roofline as it was quoted with a chuckle...this is one of the pics of a possible succesor

Give ford time. They will manage to ruin a good thing. Our cars look pretty damn nice. The rear quarters need more attention IMO.
But designs change for marketing reasons. Not always for the better unfortuantly.
Within 7 years the mustang will be butchered and neutered along with with all the other musclecars coming out soon.
I figure we have a good 5 years left before the musclecar bubble gets popped by fuel prices and tree huggers.

They will ruin a good thing I agree with that.
To bad they don't do a poll or a survey to all the current mustang owners, as to what we would like to see changed or improved for the new body style. I guess the world doesn't work that way anymore[
