Default Front & Rear lowering springs-benefits?

Over the weekend at the Woodward Dream cruise, I won a set of lowering springs in a raffle from Ford racing.

They are supposed to lower my car 1.5".

I am not going to attempt this myself but was interested in hearing from those who have had this mod done.

What benefits can I expect? Better handling?

I am going to have them installed in the next week or so, as soon as I can find the time.

that and improved handling. I got my car lowered over custom springs made by road magnets 1.2" all around. I would highly advise you to stay away from speed bumps and avoid pot holes as much as possible, and take turns a lot faster than before [sm=badbadbad.gif]

You might want to look into getting a camber adjustment kit to go with new springs just incase. Most people say a new panhard bar is also a good idea when lowering. Just a couple things to consider, congrats on the win.

that's awesome. that's also the same set I am getting from Piedmont Modular Performance to have put on my car. I'm probably not going to lower the full 1.5" if it's possible to adjust it tho. 1-1.25" enough for me I think. I'm also getting a panhard brace and bar installed as mentioned by JohnEod. Hey john, what's the EOD for? Not EOD the ordnance job is it?

There's no way to adjust the amount of lowering. If the springs lower the car 1.5", then it has to be that amount. Trust me, you'll like that amount of drop. It won't look like it was slammed to the ground, but will give it a better stance and help fill in the fender gaps. It will handle better, but you will give up a slight amount of ride quality.

thanks for the info newbreed......well, I guess I can live with it. considering the other suspension mods going on, I'm sure I won't notice the difference anyway...it's gonna feel like a whole new car regardless, lol
