Of course it's not happening. But it could be done. I've seen many older cars with the gas inlet exposed in the trunk. But that was way back in the olden days, you know, the sixties?

Yeah, my 61 fairlane is exactly that way. Just get rid of the "fake" gas cap and you'll feel better. (lol)

Actually, I just remembered my dad's '71 has the rear gas cap.
So if you like those so much it would be cheaper to just buy one of the ones from that model. Did the Mustang II have them?
