Default Which fuse do I tap for the remote wire amp connection?

I'm hooking up an amp to the shaker 500. Do I tap the fuse under the dash(number 20 labeled Radio - Start) or the one in the engine bay labeled radio for the remote on wire?

Neither. It's easier to tap into one of the unused spots in the passenger side footwell.

um....why do you need to fuse a remote wire?

Ive done dozens of installs and never fused it before

Tap into an unused spot? I don't understand what you mean. I was thinking of tapping into #20 Radio start in the passenger side footwell.

I guess that would be ok. I used one of the unused ones so as not to "double wire"

Go to Autozone or any auto parts store and buy a fuse tap. This device will retain your factory fuse and give you another fuse for amp.
I used one of these when I installed the PIE adapter for my satelite radio. It makes the installation very clean w/o splicing into existing wires.

Yes, that's what I'm using but I need to know which fuse to tap into.

I used the fuse for the power mirros since they always have power. The PIE instructons stated to use a constant power source. If this is for an stereo amp, I would the power window fuse or radio fuse since these items require the key to be used.
