Ducktail with factory holes

RE: Ducktail with factory holes
It is actually Federally illegal to delete the third brake light unless you relocate it on the car. It is required to be at or above the level of the top of the deck lid. That would look pretty crappy. No they do not come prepainted.

RE: Ducktail with factory holes
I paid $2k to have all of the body components painted and installed, and the stripes painted. 3 coats of primer, 4 coats each of white and gray paint, and 3 coats of clearcoat, all sanded between coats. The total bill for materials and labor cost was $3217.23, but I worked a business deal with the body shop and got it for $2k out the door. I don't have a breakdown of each item though.

Can someone with the Cervini C-wing post pictures? Hopefully I can piggyback on this thread without having to start another spoiler thread.

RE: Ducktail with factory holes
i do believe there aren't any one-piece spoilers that don't use some tape to some extend with the bolted holes. Even the factory spoiler used tape. gefracing "legend" spoiler (all bolts), 3dcarbon's 3d500 spoiler (2 bolts), and ford's gt500 spoiler (all bolts) are all one-piece ducktails which all use tape, don't think there are any other atm.

Thanks for the info. I am only looking to use the stock holes and not drill anymore. It doesn't matter if I have to use tape. I was just hoping to only use the one place stock place of attachments.

RE: Ducktail with factory holes
The GEF Legend is the only one I know of that uses ONLY the factory holes. I think we're in the same boat. I'm not concerned with covering them I want to re-use them like you. The only problem with the GEF spoiler is that it is fiberglass. Urethane is the way to go. The fiberglass stuff cracks and falls apart after a while. I'm still looking around

By the way....
you will notice the Roush spoiler in my sig. Hasn't been put on yet for that reason. It's for sale. Pre-painted black $400 bucks takes it. I cant see drilling holes in my decklid AND quarter panels
