I just installed the Hurst short shifter and now I am noticing that I am hearing a lot more engine noise as well as experiencing heat penetrating the cab from the shifter area. I am curious is there some sort of heat shield I lost, because I had no extra parts after the install. I'm installing a thick rubber plating tonight to eliminate this, but I am just curious as to if anybody else has experienced this.
