Bare steel + water = oxidation

Also this has been discussed a few dozen times, the search feature is magic.

i know what makes rust thank you very much! i just have never noticed it on the brakes of my previous vehicles. and yes i drove it and it's gone so i was just overly paranoid, no biggie i guess.

ALl cars get this, but it does seem to appear quicker on these rotors then on others. ANother factor too is that amost cars you can't really see much of the rotor and never really notice this so it makes it more apparent on a car like this that you can clearly see the rotor.

After a while you'll get use to it. Hell, I see rust on mine before I finish drying the car after a wash!

I know that's so weird to see all that rust. Do you know if it effects braking performance afterwards or does it quickly go away?

Mine does the same thing after sitting for a few days. I'm not worried about it.
Like everyone said, once you drive it, and apply the brakes, it goes away.
