Default Old school addition

Hey all:

Probably the last old school exterior mod I will make.

Chrome wheel spinners. What do you think?

Not bad looking. But given that a 5 year old has the stregnth to take them off, they are not for me.

I dont need to be replacing spinners at 100 bucks a set. It may not happen right away, but sometime, somewhere, mine would get nabbed.

These are chromed aluminum from BSR. They mount from the rear and cannot be removed without taking off the wheels.

I like them too, but I'm partial. I had them before the car.

Here are instructions for a mod that makes the spinners impossible to remove without removing the tires first. The mod was less the $5. It uses brass sliding closet door handles inside the spinner tabs to prevent them from being removed.

Great idea...But, I bought the BSR's. They are mounted from the rear and can't be removed without the wheel coming off first.

I had seen the PVC pipe mod, but I like this one a lot better! I've got the tri-bar pony spinners, they were on my 05 and I pulled them before trading it in. I haven't put them on the 07 yet, will have to see if I can get some of these handles for this mod

Looks great! I'm not sure they would look good on 18" fanblades though but something to think about.
