Default Stock BF Goodrich tires any good?

I'm getting the 18" Bullit rims for my 06 GT convertible. Should I buy the BF Goodrich g-force 235/50WR18 tires that come stock with the car OR should I be considering another tire? They're selling for $79 bucks ea on tirerack. I don't want to spending $200+ for each tire, but I'm open to suggestions.

I can tell you that the BF Goodrich KDW's are incredibly good. So if BF Goodrich's G-force tires are the next step down then I would guess that they are very good tires. And for $79 I don't think you can go wrong considering a high performance summer tire is $200 to $300. -Andrew

He is talking about the KDW's, that is what comes stock, he just didnt put the full name in the post.

They are great tires, we have been getting pounded with heavy rain for the last day and tires handled great. On dry pavement they also handle great. If you need an all around tire, these are perfect.

I wouldn't buy the stock BFG tires again, even for the price. Tirerack has the Potenza S-03 PP on sale for $139 in 235/50-18, which would easily be worth the extra... but I like to turn as much as burn and care very little for tire wear and comfort.

My bad; I just checked tirerack and I was talking about the BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDWS that I have which are $250 a piece. He was talking about the BF Goodrich T/A KDW which are $79 a piece.

How long ago did you purchase your GT? Some dealers(especially ones that modify their Mustangs) usually have loads of "stock" GT wheels on hand....my last dealer was willing to sell me some "fanblades" which come with the aforementioned tires in this thread for $500.00(brand new takeoffs). I decided to go with another dealer and the 18" polished Bullitts were already an option on the '06 GT I bought. Never hurts to ask......btw I only have 250 miles on my GT so I can't compare it to my '05 GT's Pirelli's(which I didn't really care for).

Are the Mustangs with the 18" optional FACTORY wheels being delivered with BFG's? Not Pirelli's, like the 17" come with?

Factory 17" wheels have Pirelli p-zero 235/55ZR17
Factory 18" wheels have BFGoodrich G-Force KDWS 235/50ZR18

The Pirelli's are terrible tires. I can't wait until I get new tires.
