My Color feature I didn't know about!
It's actually annoying, considering I get updates every 3 miles when I'm low on gas, but when you get below 30 miles, the entire gas gauge lighting changes to red. I was impressed enough to stop and fill up.

Are you sure? Mine only goes red when there is less than 10 miles to empty. I thought a lot of people had it go red under 10 too. What year is your stang? Maybe they changed it on the new stangs.

Nevermind, I just saw it was a 06. I wonder what it is for other people.

I have never had mine empty enough to find out. I can't handle the stress that I might run out of gas LOL.

You guys are right, it's 10 miles. I'm just embarrassed to let you know that I drove it that far empty.

It's not just the gas gauge, all the IUP gauges will light up red if there's trouble. For example, if the car overheats the temp gauge will turn red. Strangely, this is only if the headlights or parking lights are on. If the lights are off, the gauges stay white.

I didn't know about that either. Although at first it does seem cool. But then again, a bit too much. I don't think anyone needs that much warning to indicate low on gas. They may as well have made it so your horn also honks, your radio makes an annoying red alert sound, and an automated voice that repeats something like "I'm thirsty!"
