Default blackout or vinyl tint

Which is better and looks better?
Anyone have either and give me their .02
Where did you get yours?
Thought I hear bad things about the tint or maybe that was in reference "tinting" the lights areas with window tint?
One other thing, if you have chase lights on the rear, does the vinyl tint or blackouts make it to dark to see the "chasing lights"?

Thanks....I got them on e-bay here's the site.....Blackouts

I dont have headlight blackouts yet, but I am ordering those in a couple of days. Also from this same guy, If you look in his store he has combo deals where you can buy fog, head, and tail light blackouts alltogether for a discounted price.

I used the tints, but they are just that....smoked tints and not as dark as the blackout covers. It depends on which one you prefer and how dark you want to go. Here are some pictures. I used the darkest tint available for all lenses (third brake light, rear markers, tail lights, and front turn signal) for the headlights I used the lighter shade tint.

Do these just attach onto the stock covers? I've had bad luck getting GTS covers to stay on. What about the thrid brakelight?

They're vinyl tints so you install them by wetting the surface of the lense and the sticky side of the vinyl then positioning it on the lense. On some of the contoured areas (tail light) I used a hair dryer to heat and follow the curves. I also used a squeegie type tool to push all the air bubles out during application, I think others used a credit card but it can scratch the film.
