Default What if the Battery goes Completely Dead?

Since the windows come down about 3/4" so that the door will open, how do you get in the car if the battery goes dead? How do you get under the hood to access the battery?

I would assume just use the key hole unlock and open it. I think the windows do that to prevent breaking but i dont think it would stop you from opening the door

This has happened to me. Luckily I have a 'vert and was able pull up the edge of the top enough to get the door open. Now for the coupes, I don't think the window top wedges too tightly against the top so if you pull hard enough on it, it should open.

The real question is what happens when the battery in your remote goes dead!
How do you turn your alarm off? Can you remember where the switch was hidden?

if your battery goes dead and your windows are still up... your doors will still open... but you cannot close them once they are open... I had a dead battery.. left my remote fogs on all night.. killed the stock battery.. upgraded to Optima Red35...

skoshi,

Thanks for the response. I was looking for someone who has been there, done that. When you opened the door while the battery was dead, was it difficult to open? Did you have to force it open to get the glass past the weather trim?

Thanks again,

Interesting.. never thought of that. Another possible problem would be that the auto windows don't work any more. And there's a 10 step procdure in the owner's manual to fix that.
