Any recommendations on functional hood pins for a 2006 GT? Any recommended seller or tips? Do they work - any experience? I am a total newbie and rely on this forum for all my advice and help. Great members!

Thanks for any help.
I got mine from Steeda...they weren't long enough for the Cervini hood, so the body shop had to modify... check the recommendation for your hood. OE, any should work fine. IMO, I like the straight-through pins better. If the latch gives, I don't want lanyards screwing up the paint job on my hood!!! Our s197s are about as aerodynamic as a brick in the front, and there's a lot of pressure under that hood, especially if you're going fast...

I have noticed that, esp on the road trip I just took, nothing like cruising I-95 at 80 and watching your hood flutter... Plan on getting a set of pins after I do the stripes.

Wild Red - where did yu get them installed?

Also - are the lanyards necessary?
i installed them myself as for the lanyards no they are not necessary some people think it looks cleaner with out them, im still undecided. the reason i didnt have them showing in the picture they where hanging behind my grill relaxing (they where really curled up from pkging) so i let them hang for a month to straighten out.
