I replaced my GT emblems with 07 Cobras....Its easy. I wrapped a magic marker with a wash cloth and put it a few incheses from the emblem and used it as something to rest a thin tipped screwdriver on. Simply pry the emblem off slowly. No heat guns, hair dryer or goo be gone needed! This also works for the rear deck emblem.

http://johnsmustang.com/Catalog/3110/ Here is were I got mine..

Pegasusphotx.. I Really like the 281 on your car I did the pony already and was thinking of the 281, But our stangs are not really 281s, do you get any coments from people on that?
Not 281s? How do you figure? All the literature I've read states that the displacement on the 4.6L GT Mustang is 281ci.

Straight from Ford: 281

Ok, but one slip with that screw driver and.............
You are also pressing against the thinnest metal ever used by US automakers, so I say use a 'no press method' whenever possible.

I personally would not use any metal tool. Fishing line and if your parked in the sun for a while then no need for the hair dryer; Agree, no heat guns anywhere near the paint, unless you want to remove it.

Glad yours worked out ok, JMO is all.

With your black stripe on the hood it's only natural that you'd go with a black insert. Thomas has emailed me and stated he's kicking around some ideas for a cheveron below the 281s using the current style and size 281s and the cheveron having a colored insert as well. I look forward to seeing what he comes up with.
