Default Damn warranty issues!

My dad told me to take off my beautiful Steeda CAI and return it to stock tune because of warranty issues [:@]
He said he would buy me one that doesn't require a tune. I was thinking about the Granatelli CAI. 25+ rwhp 25+ lbs torque without a tune is pretty B/A. [8D] If I decide to part with it I will put that bisch up on eBay and let everyone have at it.

If I can talk my dad into letting me get more mods in the future, could I still tune everything fine? He is giving me the, your car gets up to 65 MPH fine, thus you don't need to waste anymore money on your car.

Maybe not 25, but I got around 20 with the Granatelli with their recalibrated MAF and no tune. They have their own MAF, thus no need to flash the computer.

i would just tell him the damage is already done, ford can tell if you have had a tune even if you return it to stock, so instead of wasting more money on another CAI you might as well just leave it the way it is.

I don't believe they can tell you've had a tune once it's returned to stock.
They can tell the computer was accessed, but you just tell them you were checking a code.

You will run to lean.... Spark plugs for these cars are expensive, I almost had to buy some, but the guy that worked on my car made it seem like they were bad and not to look like what really happend. I ran so lean I burnt my spark plugs up...

Yep, its not a problem at all. Especially with a Diablosport. The guy that worked on mine checked several times for any activity from a tuner and said he never found any. As long as you take the tune off and COMPLETELY un-hook the battery for about 5 hours(safety precaution) then you shouldn't have a problem.
