Saftety of sidescoops/windowscoops and louvers
My dad works at Ford and was telling me that the Roush window louvers have been known to fly off. It's just take holding them on. How can just tape hold window louvers/scoop and side scoops on with highway speeds? Doesn't seem logical to me. Maybe I'm just dumb. Has anyone had problems w/ theres? I want side scoops but am afraid of just the tape holding it on. That's all I need is a damn projectial goign through someones windshield

Put them on with 3M tape .... wait 48 hours ... now try to pull them off .... see ... you can't .... do a search .... many folks have asked how do you remove things put on with 3M tape because it seams just about impossible to remove them.
I have quite a few stick-ons on my car ... no issues ...

the wifes windstar rearview mirror fell off in the driveway a while back- was OEM taped in place...thats the extent of my 'tape failure' experience...but have read of a couple pcs flying off- one guy lost a side scoop, one a quarter window louver- now wether'installed correctly' or not- who knows, but the tape only scares me a little bit too.
I REALLY want a set of rear slats, but I just cant imagine something with that much area being held on with less than 'hardware' so I'm still waiting for a set of bolt on/hinged ones...if not for the hinge notches and the big gap at the top, the 69/70 hinges might work...half tempted to get a set of MRTs and replace/rework the top slat- but way down on my list of things to do...

I believe the Roush are bolted on as well as 3M tape.

screws are so they can be removed for cleaning glass I guess
my roush louvers have been on for 6 months and at speeds of 130mph+ and no problems you can pull on the they are on tight. if anything all louvers give u a blind spot when changing lanes.
