schap, you need the MyColor option to change the gauges. If you have the option, you need to read the manual. Maybe someone else can tell you an easy way to tell if you have the option if you don't already know.

Your owners manual shows both styles. The 6 gauges come in the Interior Upgrade Package.

battery voltage and oil pressure dont come with it..its fed up...you only have gas and temp..id say if there was any problem it would come up on the screen, but the 4 gauge doesnt have it...for instance someone i know has the passat, and he doesnt have those either, but theres a computer screen that will say any errors if such.

There's actually three different interior packages. One is the "Sport Appearance Package" it includes the leather wrapped steering wheel with brushed aluminum steering wheel spokes and shift handle(auto) or ****(stick). The 2nd, of course is the "Upgrade Package" which incorporates the "Sport Appearance" with the the MyColor/Message center/charcoal door inserts / silver or simulated carbon fiber instrument panel/silver air vent and door handle finish/silver scuff plates. 3rd is the Red Interior Accent which necessitates the charcoal leather interior and Upgrade Package and adds red leather seating/door insert panels and floormats. The Upgrade Package also adds two gauges(volts/oil). Yes, I read the brochure

if it's any consolation, the extra guages are basically there for cosmetic purposes only.
