RE: To all on Second Stang
i hated the new stangs when they came out...but after my 91 four banger got hit i had to go get my car looked at the dealer body shop. Then i saw the pony package stang. I loved how it handled and how it felt. I fell in love after that.

My 2nd s197 stang... Yeah, I'm a young addict.
I loved my v6, but the intrest rate was raping me, so I thought I might aswell leech off my parent's perfect credit while I can. Traded in the v6, found a beautiful Torch Red in Manual, so I could keep the same amazing body style I loved, but with a bigger engine and 0 miles on the odometer.
I think when I'm older I'll try to buy a 70's Mach, and a project 60's, and start my own stable.

Just curious, I see some people are already on their Second Stang. What made you buy another.

That and the 05-07 was the first one in a long time that did not have to "grow on me"... Just liked it out of the box...

I missed my 5.0 the day I sold it. Was gonna get a vette but the 0% came up, def made the right choice. Though my 5.0 was more fun to drive. Less refined and it shifted like heaven. I need to get a new shifter for my 06. Also I don't like how the motor keeps it rev longer, on my 5.0 the tach would jump up and down on my 06 the tach stays up longer and comes down slower.. Overall though the 06 is 10000000000000000000000000% better..

Bought an '05 GT in black back in 03/05, loved the car, but that black was a bitch to keep clean, and I got rear ended around Christmas [&o]. When the 0%/72mo came along, jumped on it and bought my Tungsten Grey/Charcoal leather GT exactly 3 weeks ago. Haven't had much time to drive it (I only work 3 miles from home). Although I notice it's quieter than my '05 and much smoother, the clutch is about 70% lighter too. Plus I have side airbags, MyColor dash and 18" Bullitts and paid less than what I paid for the '05. Win-Win

This is my 4th stang. I had two stolen and one I traded in on a Porsche. It is absolutely the most performance you can get for the money. I was not too fond of the body style that came out after the fox body, but I didn't dislike it either. The 03 - 04 era Cobra was/is hot. When this new 05 came out, I fell in love all over again. I actually traded in an '89 911C4 for this car. I have had no regrets, especially since the Porsche was $1000 everytime I put it in the shop. My only regret today is that I didn't wait for the 07 with some of the upgrades that it offers.
