RE: Just mounted MRT hood struts BUT!
i think when I do that the bolts will look messed with (paint off slightly) and probably under the fender bracket also. I could use the touch up paint (I was planning on doing that anyway) but dont you think if the guys any good he'll notice.

RE: Just mounted MRT hood struts BUT!
I had a similar problem with the MRT's. What happened was when i unbolted the top one the hood slid back and it wouldn't go in either until i had to pull up and push downwards on the hood at the same time. Bolt went right in after that. I had more trouble getting the lower brackets in, they didn't sit flush for some reason. But once i got the bolt started they flatened out and fit fine.

RE: Just mounted MRT hood struts BUT!
Taking out the first bolt and loosening the bottom bolt will cause the hood to want to slide downwards. This will put pressure on the bottom bolt and make the top bolt not line up right. Try gently pulling up on the bottom of the hood on that corner and try putting the bolt in then. That will take the pressure off the bottom bolt and make the top one line up better. Do not force the bolt cause that might cause the treads to be messed up. The bolt should screw in easily.
