I bought my GT Premium specifically without the Mach system(s). I hate it. I prefer to add my own system based on sound quality and purity and not just on loudness. Loud is good, but loud and refined is better.

I have the shaker 1000, but I added quick release bolts and connections so I can take it out in 30 secs when I go to the track.

I have an 06 deluxe with the standard sound system and cloth seats. After reading about all of the problems people have had with their Shaker's I'm glad i have the basic unit. The only options on my car are the Auto Tranny, Sport App. Package, and wheel locks. I wanted a stick but most 06's with a stick were gone by July so I went with the auto. To me a muscle car shouldn't have many options, just a basic car with a strong engine.

I was glad I found a black vert with the basic system. In my opinion, the speaker grilles on the front doors for the 500 and 1000 systems are the most ridiculous thing I've seen in or on four wheels since the Pontiac Aztec hit the street...

I have the standard stereo in mine (they call it "premium" stereo).

I like it just fine.

My #1 reason for not getting shaker, plus except for some bass that I don't want anyway, the std 'premium' radio to me sounds awesome and I don't have the bass anywhere near max. Sound quality is great. Door panels are sweet. Just never thought so many GT were w/o shaker.
