I would check the Perelli mileage warranty and see what they say would be the correct mileage for those tires. If you don't have that mileage on those tires, I would see if they would adjust the price of the tires as well since ball joints would make them wear prematurely. Was your car lowered? By the looks of your sig, it has not. I have 34K on my tires and I travel a long windey road every day and still have some good life left on those tires. The GT has about 26K miles and those tires are in good shape as well.

I would do what 06GT4RAD said, upgrade. Your local auto parts store should carry ones that have a liftime warranty and they really do last forever, well atleast the ones that I have put on my trucks.

This reply here nailed it. Ford has crappy Ball joints and has for years. They have no grease fittings in them and are very cheap. I would suggest upgrading unless this is being covered under warranty.

You can't grease them and they wear out.
I replaced the ball joints on a Ford I used to have after 80k miles. Put on new ones with grease zerks, no problems after that.

The roads in Charleston, South Carolina are some of the worse in the nation being that a lot of them are built over marsh land. They are covered under warranty.

I am an old dog. Old enough to remember when sealed ball joints came out and how everyone was outraged that they could not grease them. That was in 1966 when I worked in an auto supply as a high schooler. Since that time, the lifetime of balljoints has gone UP, not DOWN.
Show me a car with premature ball joint wear, and in almost ALL cases, I will show you a car that has been driven fast on very rough roads OR has had modifications done that alter the stresses.
I personally drove a car OVER 500,000 miles on the original, SEALED ball joints, control arm bushings and tie rod ends. Needless to say, I don't drive on rough roads. Just past 500,000 miles I ended up with a relatively low mileage parts car and replaced EVERYTHING. I was very surprised at how tight everything was that I removed.
It is very common for people to look for someone or some company to blame when things don't go their way.

Anyway I had the new ball joints installed today. If you have a 05 it wouldn't hurt to have a ford dealer to check it out before your warranty expires. Cheers.
