I have another thread going regarding my axle whine and the dealer's inability to fix it thus far (2 tries to date, and it's worse than before). I'm just wondering, if I take it to another dealer and tell them the TSB has been done at another dealer but the problem still exists, are they authorized to do the same TSB again?

In my experience it depends a lot on the dealers involved but according to Ford and your warranty, warranty repairs (or any repairs) can be perfromed at any Ford dealer. If another dealer gives you a hard time, I would speak to the service manager and if they still won't do it, contact Ford Customer Service and expalin your situation. Good luck.

As I also said in the other thread, if you are not satisfied with the repair, contact for customer care and explain the situation, and ford should authorize the payment of a good speed shop to do the work, basically a sublet on the repair.

What they SHOULD do and what they WILL do may be very different. Do you know of occurences where Ford actually did authorize payment for outside shop repair? Seems to me they'd rather just say "let us keep trying".

I used to get contract work from 5 different dealers when I ran my shop back home.

let the same dealer try again...remember the lemon law, 3 tries for the same repair.

Yea, I know about that. I actually did it and won on our 2003 Mercury. That thing basically fell apart.

But I LOVE this car, and I don't want another one. And I just put a clear bra on it for $500 which would be lost if I lemon lawed it.
