OK you convinced me
After asking your opinions, you've convinced me to go with a CAI + tune over exhaust + something else. I've heard all great things about brenspeed so I think I'll be ordering from them. My only question is what're the differences between the JLT 2 and the C&L?

RE: OK you convinced me
The C&L is all aluminum and has a unsightly bulge at the bend, atleast I don't like it. The JLT is an aluminum and plastic tube with a rubber elbow. The JLT is supposed to give a few more horse power from what i've read on here, but I haven't see the dyno sheets to back that up.
The JLT can be painted to match your car.
The JLT is cheaper.

Everybody says they got the best numbers on the dyno, my demolet says so too.
I think if you're talking 1 or 2 hp, that's well within any margin of error, and it's safe to conclude they all do the same thing.
You can only suck in so much air without going F/I.

This was a pretty informative article on that...

Everything I've read shows the JLT throwing up a couple more Hp's than the C&L, but as stated above, that's well within the margin of error. Both CAIs are great and with a tune from one of the top tuners, you can't go wrong. The big differences are looks and price. The C&L is aluminum, hence the manufacturing is more expensive. I personnaly like the look of the C&L and it's probably more sturdy, i.e., will last longer. I spent the additional money for those two facts, not performance. You can't go wrong with either one. Good luck...

I too went with the C&L intake on my 07 GT. Just be sure to get the SCT Xcal-2 tuner. Run the 93 octane tune if you have 93 octane where you live. I did this and installed a set of Pypes Violators which are polished stainless bad *** mufflers also from Brenspeed.
Even though it s brand new car. After installing these parts, it was once again an even newer brand new car! The performance difference is so great, that you will instantly know the second you touch the gas pedal. No more lag off idle. No such thing as slow to rev any more. I run high 12's like 12.90's and 13.00 flat constantly with stock tires and tire pressure.

RE: OK you convinced me
I love the look of the C & L, but a question that pops up in my mind is, isn't the underhood heat going to soak that metal intake tube? Raise the temperature of the intake charge? Which is the better heat insulating material, aluminum or plastic? Wouldn't a plastic tube be a better insulator against heat on long drives, traffic, etc., where heat is a problem?
