Default SHIFTERS

I'm curious of those that have changed the shifter in their 5sp manual... Does it make a big difference and what kind did you use? Is this mod worth it?

Pro 5.0, yes, it made a big difference, but even more so after the torque limiters and K-member brace from CHE.

I changed mine to a Pro 5.0.
Install was easy. Biggest difference I saw ia that you really can`t miss 3rd anymore.
Reverse and 5th is a little harder than stock.
Have to pull the shifter to the driver for 1st and second.
I just wish there wasn`t so much travel between 1st and second.
Don`t know about the Steeda short throw , maybe its different.

Only a dozen or so, but how would you know unless you're like the rest of the forum junkies! It's OK to start a thread on ANY topic, ANY time!!! That's what this is for!

BTW - Steeda TRi-AX Shifter

Love my Tri-Ax. Very precise, like cocking the hammer on a S&W.

There should be a sticky about shifters! There are stickies about a bunch of worthless crap, but not shifters, makes no sense..99% of the time the 1st mod is the shifter or CAI, why isn't there a sticky for shifters?

Because a sticky shifter is not very desirable?

^^ ha ha ha..... I have the Hurst short throw. Some people don't like it, they say that its too 'notchy'. I love it. And you can't get any better than than the white Hurst ball looking at you!!
