Exactly. Take the intake, wash it with hot water & dish detergent to get rid of any oil that might be on it, hang it up from an old coathanger or something and spray paint it. If you take your time, it will come out looking great!

Anodizing would look like crap becasue it's a cast part. Cast pieces don't take anodizing very well.
You can probably find a local shop that does powdercoating. Check your phone book. If you don't see any powdercoaters listed, call up a custom paint shop and ask if they do it, or know anyone that does.
One piece of advice though: If you do have it powdercoated, make it VERY CLEAR to whoever is doing the work that they have to mask off the flat area and the screw holes where the MAF attaches. If not, you will not be able to install the MAF properly. Masking is a non-trivial issue with powdercoating. Make sure they do it right!
I would expect to pay no more than $50 to have it coated, probably less.
