Default Bridgestone tires, are they good ?

well i was at the go-kart track on the weekend and met this JAP dude who works in the bridgestone tires company he was friendly and yet he said will give me a great price on tires,

so im thinking since my rear BFG'S are wearing out (there still great for another year and a half only 15,000 km's on them ), I should go order some great tires that have great traction and that are reliable, so what do u guys suggest which tire type that will fit my mustang ? and i need to get as much as street traction as possible.

I have the stock pirelli's on my 06, but I have been running the Potenza G009's for a couple of years on my 99, Its been a good all around tire, more of an all season than performance though, might no serve your needs, the re910. One feature of the re910 i like is the curb guard, it has a thick section on the side wall that extends past the lip of the rim to help protect against curb checks. it is a good all around performance series I have used in the past. As far as sizes, if you dont want to reprogram the settings, than any good tireman should be able to keep you in spec by checking the outside diameter of the tire and comparing it to OE

Bridgestone made a tire called the SO2 that is a fabulous dry tire. They are still avalible, but the updated tire is the potenza RE050. This is an excellent dry tire as well. These are the 2 to consider from bridgestone for all out, dry performance. IMO, these are both better than BFG KD's.

The bridgestone potenza s03 are on clearence at a few places, as they have been replaced. You should be able to get a good deal on these right now. They are way better that kdws. More comparable to the kd.
