RE: Walmart Car Cover Question
The latest Ive been advised from a long standing Mustang collector and show judge is to not cover the car. He said if I will be keeping it outside to just put a sun shade over the dash so the sun doesn’t dull the interior. For longer storage periods, he recommended getting wheel covers to protect the rotors but said covering the car with even the most expensive cover when storing outside, more often than not, is detrimental. He suggests no matter the fit of the cover, there will still be points where the cover touches the car and with constant abrasion over time it will hurt the clear coat. Also said that even well designed covers don’t breathe flawlessly and they trap water between the car and the cover.
