Dear All,

i have decided to install hood pins on my new 2006 GT vert because I noticed that the hood seemed to be vibrating while driving home from the dealer at about 85 mph. I had not noticed this on my test drive and also had a 2006 GT coupe that I did not notice this on. I will definitely have them installed professionally - probably at a Ford dealship since I do not know of any good body shops or alternatives where I live in Miami. I have a couple of questions for anyone with experience - I am a total newbie to mods so please excuse me if they are dumb questions.

1. What are the best hood pins available for the 2006 Mustang? (Manufacturer, type, etc). I want to get the best possible. Is there a website you would recommend?
2. Are there different types? Any I should avoid?
3. Are there any problems with hood pins? - e.g. water entering hood? (I read in one post that water was somehow a problem) can anyone provide more details on this?
4. I see some come with lanyards. Are these necessary or recommended? Can they scratch the paint?
5. Any difference where you mount them (center v.s. side)?
6. Any other general recommendations or suggestions?
