since it seems you've tried everything.....you might
disconnect the neg battery lead and let the skipper 500 reset
itself....good luck, hope it works out for ya

act like you're about to load a disc into one of those two slots, it should activate teh eject mechanism.

Then take it back to your dealer for a replacement.

Dump the shaker for an after market unit. You'll be so much happier that you did.[sm=groupwave.gif]

The Shaker 500 is the bomb! Haha, I love my Shaker 500. As for replacement, it is a mechanical malfunction and that is not your fault. As long as your still under warranty (which I'm sure you are) they will replace it for you.

I had my shaker stop responding (among other things) a few times. Volume know won't work, buttons, etc. I punched it really hard and it started working again. SO give that a try...

Shakers covered under warranty, there's a TSB out on 'em too.

And slapping, or punching is a valid troubleshooting technique for electronics, esp tv's, to find short circuits. The trick is to give it a nice quick jab, apply pressure, but with no follow through, but your hand stays firm on the device to keep it from vibrating.

Works especially well on CRT's (TVs, monitors), the neckboard's connector has a tendency to come loose.

My shaker will be sitting on a shelf soon enough, waiting to be put back in in case I ever sell this car down the road.
