Without more information I am going to assume you are referring to the aftermarket Shinoda Boss conversions, if that is what you mean then it is just an appearance package.

Shinoda has never been the same since Larry died. I worked with a guy who has one of the last Shinoda Boss Mustangs that Larry personally signed.

Difference is an 8 cylinder GT Mustang exists... a BOSS doesn't.

Funny because his family still owns the business, their website is TeamShinoda.com, company name is Shinoda Performance Vehicles Inc, and on their home page it says "Introducing the 2007 BOSS Shinoda Mustangs" seems like they still use Shinoda in the name to me. [sm=owned.gif]

Just because Mr. Shinoda has passed away doesn't mean his company died with him, his legacy lives on every day and I think the new Shinoda Mustangs look great. There will never be another designer like him, I would love to have one of the original SN95 spoilers with the built in cup holder even if it was just to hang on the wall.

I wasn't saying the company no longer exists....just that they kinda dropped off when Larry died. I can't think of a single 99-04 Boss I've ever seen on the road. Doesn't mean they didn't make any.....just that they dropped off the scene for the last 5 years. I had no doubt the family name would return to glory with the S197 retro.

BTW, I too am a big fan of Larry's designs and the cup holder spoiler was genius.

I've seen a few New Edge cars with Shinoda conversions, unfortunately I don't think anyone there will be able to rival Larry's styling abilities and that is why the cars really aren't anything special now.

I'll never forget reading an interview that he did with a magazine and he spoke of drawing the 94-98 Super Spoiler with the cup holders and when they made the prototype they were left out because they thought he was joking with them. No better place to set your drink when standing around bs'ing. If I ever buy a 94-98 Stang I am going to be looking hard for my cup holders.

Those are very rare and expensive as they get built motors and I know they were working on developing a TT kit for them. 99% of them are just appearence mods.
