Hey Guys, I'm looking for a quality shop in the central NJ area (I live in Ocean County). I'm looking to have stripes painted on over the winter and would like to get a few quotes.

I spoke with 1 local shop that did an 05 Stang Boss look-a-like and charged them $4K for the blacked out hood and some stripes on the rocker panel. He gave me the same quote, so obviously I don't think these guys do much custom work.

I remember reading back a while that several of you had stripes done for about $1800 so I was using that as a baseline.

Any suggestions to a shop would be greatly appreciated.

I had a '67 S-code 4-speed convertible repainted by Gelsi Mustang World in Dark Ivy Green about 15 years ago. They are located in Vineland, NJ. The car was BEAUTIFUL!!! A bit more pricey than Maaco [8D] but quality work, my friend. We sold that car to Dover Downs, who used it as a slot machine grand prize. The winner resold it since then, and last I heard the car was still located in Delaware. I would like to get that one back some day.

Stay away from Bergen Imports Inc. in cliffside park NJ. They are truly butchers man.
