Default our cars don't like 911 calls....

lol, it's the weirdest thing. I was driving home Saturday night and there was an obvious drunk driver in front of me. They were swerving pretty bad!

I decided to call 911 and tell the police. As soon as I hit send, a little siren style alarm came out from my dash! I was like WTF???? I ended up losing the call and had to re-dial.... sure enough it happened again!

What the heck is it?

I've called 911 from my phone before in my car to report an exploding car, I didn't hear a beeping noise.

sounds like maybe the drunk driver was you (J/K ).

I had to make a 911 call from my cell in my 05 for the same thing. I didn't have any problems.

Probably just some kind of freakish interference with your speakers/radio.

It would have happened regardless of what number you were calling.

Depending on your cell phone and its configuration - many are setup to turn on GPS location when you dial 911 (so they can find you in a ditch)...

My money is on that for the cause of the interference...

Odd that it interfered audibly though...

e911 recieves the lat/long, basically it's like a caller ID, it's not a seperate signal. Sounds like some sort of fluke thing, you don't have an aftermarket bluetooth HU or something, do you?
