Clunking noise from front right suspension?
I have read the posts and know about the 05 Mustangs with the TSB on the upper strut mounts. Mine is a early 06 (production date 01/06). I am using Eibach sway bars front and rear, Tokico D-Spec shocks, and Eibach Sportline springs. The springs were done first and have driven about 4500 miles on the stock shocks (no problems other than the stock shocks being way tooooo soft). After waiting for the Tokicos's to come back into inventory at my local shop the install was complete with the shocks and sway bars went in. I have driven about 600 miles on the new set up and no problems (no clunking noise). Than just the other day my front right is making clunking noises over bumpy roads. Sounds like something is loose. Have checked all suspension parts, ball joint everything is fine. I did notice once the car was off the gound the right spring is a little loose can be moved about a quarter inch. the drivers side is tight. Before I drop the front right out again I would like to know if this sounds like it can be the upper strut mount. I want to make sure I have all the new parts just in case. I also am wondering if it can be a defective shock? Please advise...
