Let er eat !!!!! You won't hurt the engine. It was redlined at assembly, just vary your RPM's if you are driving at the same speed for a long period. CHECK your oil regularly, and change it @ 1000-1200 miles.
You will be fine.

Congrats on your new set of wheels. I like to take it easy on my cars for the first 1000 miles also. I know they red line them on the line but I hear it is hard on the seals if you run it too hard all the time. This may be a myth but I think it is better to be cautious then have problems down the road.

You ain't going to hurt it as long as it has reached normal operating temperature. Full throttle acceleration is good for seating the rings and making compression.

I usually start doing this on a new car after 100 miles and continue until I hit 500 miles, then I drive normally.

If you really just wanted a V-6 Mustang, then congradulations on your new and good looking car. I just cant understand why any one would buy a V-6 Stang if they intend to race anyone.
