Went to the track at Cedar Falls Iowa. Ran 7 times and my best run was 13.722 at 99.63 mph the slowest 13.923 at 98.45 mph . The 1st time with this car and track. Very happy with it (06 Auto GT). My Performance Mods are 87 tune, Cai, and Ford Racing Mufflers. I had a full tank of gas and all the every day stuff inside the car. I wanted a good everyday base line for the car. The only thing is 4th gear sucks. It feels like half the power is gone. Car and Driver said that 4th and 5th gears where power robbing black holes. I believe it. Next time i will off load some weight less gas spare tire ect... And up load the 93 tune. Anybody have any good ideas about 4th gear? I thought about better gears 3.73's or 410's. I think 3.90's would be a better choice for the autos though.

Do the auto's have different gearing than the 5spd std tranny? If they are the same it shouldnt have shifted into 4th. Especially if you have the 3.31's.

Yes they do, they come with 3.55's. It shifts into 4th gear the last 100 feet or so.
