Honeycomb Rear Panel

Honeycomb Rear Panel
BEFORE and AFTER pics of my 'stang with/without rear honeycomb panel (matches stock grills)...posting for those of you contemplating upgrade. IMO, definitely adds to boring stock rear-end (Flowmasters help too of course). I've seen this panel on the Mineral Gray 'stangs as well... we feel it definitely rocks.

RE: Honeycomb Rear Panel
Can you let us know what it's like after a car washing? I imagine it is as difficult to dry all the little individual honeycombs as the front is. But does water get in there and leak out over your bumper afterwards?

RE: Honeycomb Rear Panel
Just installed on 10/14, so haven't washed it yet; however to address some concerns:
1. Honeycomb pattern is not as deep as front grill, so appears washing will not be an issue.
2. The back of the panel channels the any water to the sides.. and then out of bottom via 3 drain holes.. so I imagine there should not be too much trapped water to continue to run out (I know the feeling after you have dried off bumper and water continues to run out.. this looks like a good design)
3. Only used the 3M tape that comes with panel... as that grade really (and I mean really) adheres quickly. When installing, you need to have trunk open (have a helper to hold it steady), and make sure you have the alignment right before pressing on.. it really grabs once it hits the metal. I guess time will tell if the stock 3M tape was enough.
