Default Anyone with Cloth Seats

I have the tan cloth seats and have a light stain on the pass. side. I've tried various cleaners but nothing has seemed to work. I even went to a local detail shop but they couldn't get it out. It came from condensation dripping off of a bottle that evidently was dirty on the bottom. Has anyone else had trouble getting stains out of their cloth seats? Maybe I will have to steam it out....?

You might try a mixture of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water. If it doesn't work, try Simple Green. I had some really bad stains on a pickup cloth seat and the Simple Green got all of it out. Try the Simple Green on a place that is not noticable in case it is not compatable with the upholstery dye. Good Luck.

ya I gat cloth and I have a stain in the driver seat from a drink. I have tried everything to get it out and it will not come out. I am fixing to put leather in it to do away with that problem.

[sm=youreright.gif][sm=goodidea.gif] CLOTH SEATS belong in something else, other than a MUSTANG, but, '88 Caprices were boss with cloth. JMO

Prestone makes a carpet cleaner. It comes in a red areosol can with a plastic brush on the top. I've used that stuff to pull out month old coffee stains in my mom's car. Here's a link, but you should be able to get it at any auto store.

The leather is nice for sure, but without heated or cooled seats I can't stand them. There is nothing worse than sitting down in your car after a long day at work and having your *** on fire for the first 10 mins of the drive home.

Hydrogen Peroxide works wonders on "some" stubborn stains, but mainly organic stains. Worth a try though. Hydrogen Peroxide should be blotted more so than rubbed onto a stain.

3M Scotch (sp?) carpet cleaner worked well on an cloth seat for an explorer I had. It was a foam type cleaner that worked well...however, if you have used multiple products the stain may already be in the hard-to-remove category. Good luck partner...
