my dealership had their's roped off in the show room...sticker was $156,000ish...mark up was $150,000 = grand total of around $306,000

the manager is a friend of my dad's...he told my dad that somebody walked in and paid cash for it. but yes, i agree...rediculous...except for the future value of the car

but think about it, do any of you watch barrett jackson auctions??? do you think that anybody from '66 ever thought that the $7500 427 a/c shelby cobra back in the day would ever be worth half a million dollars. plan for the future...collector's item

I was lucky enough to ride in one Sat night........ TOTAL BLAST - absolutely loved it!!!

As for Don W's stang destroying one - first off, that's pretty cool cause Don (besides being a cool guy) is one focused badass with that machine of his.

But a GT can be modded too of course - and try taking a highspeed corner at the same speed as a GT - and then pick yourself out of the weeds afterwards....

Ok I just have to tell you that your stang looks awesome, I just love the look of that car's stance!!! Sits just right and super clean looking (not a lot of body bolt ons). I was just looking at another member's on the forum, JDBullitt. His looks a bit similar. Both of your cars good looking cars!!!!

kaldar makes some great points. my dad has a red with white stripes (05) ford GT. man is that mother truker a rocket or what!? however, dont plan on backing up without the window down and some one guiding you (we are getting a rear mounted camera cuz its dangerous!) but cup holders? who the hell drinks while in a ford gt!? the interior has enough room for me (16 5'7") and my dad (older (hehe) 5'7"). the door opens under the door, you cant see it its a little button you press and opens. the latches up front are for the "storage" LOL! the car cover doesnt even fit in there! yes it is quiet at cruzing speeds, but not ultra quiet. doesnt sound like a muscle car or anything, it sounds like a beast. when you hit that push button start it whines to life its great! when you punch it, you A. get shoved into you seat B. hear the super charger whine 5 inches from your ears C. pass everything on the road in the blink of an eye. If i win the lottery, im definately buying one for myself!

My dealer had one for 200k. If I got a GT I would get the TT kit installed. With the TT its accelerates faster to 180 than a Mclaren F1. And not just by a little bit but by 2.5 seconds.

thanks for clearing that up, as I said it looks like an after thought. It should have a pop like the mustang GT trunk. I would personally have that latch shaved along with the key hole.
