Well tomorrow I'm going down to my shop and gonna have them remove my cats. How loud will my car get? Any gains? Also can I put them back on when I'm going to get my smog check?

for the sake of the planet, leave the cats on. They take so little power yet do so much to clean the air.....

My new 320 hp boat doesn't have cats; even with the ULEV EFI engine, the exhaust is noticeably stinkier than any of my powerful cars.

Without cats I dropped 2 tenths off my quarter mile and picked up 2 mph. They are a good mod for less than $200. I put my cats back on because I'm going a different route with my exhaust.

I took my cats off and notiiced a big difference. Sound and gas mileage much better, and better performance.

yeah i have the off road H and it sounds great even when i had the stock mufflers..everyone is always looking for the muscle car sound..well cant say youll get it from removing the cats but you WILL get the old muscle car stink from unburnt fumes
