That's why mine is GONE!!!! I feel the same way. OE rear window setups (I know conv is an issue, but for coupe) are VERY effective today.

The last 2 cars and my other current car....ALL with NO antenna....I don't like antennas......To me they are like a points based distributer...or even a regular distributer......they are out-dated and need to go away.....there are plenty of cheap solutions to a big stick on my hood....
You are a friggin imbecile. So they get that reception with no antenna at all? Hey dude, check out your back glass, there's your antenna!

Well I hope no one throws a rock through your back glass because your reception is going to go to $hit for sure!!!

And as for old timey points and distributors, if there ever is a large EMP, they will work, while your computer controlled vehicle will be totally fried.

WOW...You sure are Mr. Maturity!!!! I mean the first words out of your mouth are that I am an imbecile...Your COOL!!!! I mean I should listen to the guy who posts this. My intelligence is being called into question by a guy who lacks the ability to express himself without resorting to name calling and insults. Yeah, I'm sure your a real winner! Next time you are smacking your girl around tell her I said "Hi"! Besides my internet ***** is bigger than yours....Now shut up and learn to participate in conversation and discussion of topics!!!!!

As for your thought that I was unaware of the antenna being in the glass....your right I didn't spell it all out...So what I meant to say was...ALL with NO visible antenna...are you happy...

As for the EMP...um....yeah, you do realize that a large scale EMP can affect ALL electronics and electrical devises??? Including but not limited to power sources, power transmittion cables, circuits, fuel pumps, etc....So there is a good chance those wont work either. Try your Physics book for more information....

Man, look what I have to go through when trying to stimulate discussion on a product I thought might be of interest.......

AND

Mikey....Before you go ahead and respond like I'm sure you wan to...let me leave you with one last tid-bit of information......

Arguing on the Internet is like running a race in the Special Olympics....Even if you win.....your still a retard!!!!!!!!![sm=happybounce.gif]

The stock antennas are great IMHO. They add to the retro - anti airodynamic clasic feel of the car. Just my opinion. Good karma.

Ya know, Ford did pick the biggest ugliest base to put these antennas on. I mean wtf that thing is huge!!
If I wasnt worried about paint matching and being able to tell there was some body work done after filling the hole I would have done it long ago.
If I ever get hit in that area, and need work done, you can bet that antenna base is going to be gone.

Was painting anyway so it had to go. I'm thinking about adding a power unit in same location; hidden antenna just cannot give me the reception I need. (I'm too fussy)

I bought a 10" shorty one from some site that SAID if I bought it from them.. they would give money to THIS site ( to keep it up and running )

bottom line.. mine works just as good as the stock one.. and looks better IMO..

maybe it depends on where you live, why some have problems , and some don't.. I also wish they would have put it in the FRONT windshield also.. had a old Camaro and it worked just fine.. but again........ must be a where you live thing...!!!

JMO and only that..

Nearly every import has it in the rear window. (Windshield doesn't make sense anyway because it's a frequently replaced item.)
