Default RE: Dressed Up My Tube

Thanks guys [sm=smiley4.gif], I was thinking about painting the tube Tungsten to match the car but after seeing the filter, and plus I'll be wraping the rest of my hoses in Stainless along with getting the other brillet accessories ( oil cap, Radiator Cap, etc...) The polish black just seem to be the right choice to compliment and bring out the other soon to be added brillet accesories . I got the Power Adder Filter, made by Spectre Performance at AutoZone. It has 2 removable gaskets, allowing this Filter to fit on a 3 1/4", 3 1/2", and a 4" tube. And yes an Oiled filter will protect against air born contaminants better then a Non-oiled one. The reason I went with a Non-oiled filter is because the Granatelli CAI comes with one, because Granatelli suggest using a Non-oiled filter with there kit, because over time the oil in an oiled filter can destroy the Granatelli re-claibrated MAF senser that comes with there kit. I have always kept up with my filters and clean them up every 3000 miles, right after I get my oil changed, I clean my filter, and I have never had an issue with any of my cars , now unless you live on a farm or on the beach and your car gets covered in dirt every day, then No CAI kit is going to be good for you, LOL . Now Specte Performance does make these filters in oiled, as well in different sizes, colors, and they are Universal and will fit a 3 1/4", 3 1/2", & 4" tube [sm=smiley20.gif]. just check your local AutoZone or contact Spectre Performance to see where you can purchase there filters.
Spectre Performance

ORIGINAL: DoctorQ

Awesome lookin' filter.. like it. Just curious, being smaller, is there any performance difference from the GMS larger filter?
Nope, No Performance difference, and yes the filter is Awesome looking, Oh yeah, heres a quick pick of inside the filter, it has a Polished bullit tip.

Once Again, Thanks for all the Compliments [sm=burnout.gif].

Heh, sweet... it looks like a turbine on the inside. Wonder if they have one that fits my C&L?
