RE: Military Members!
Thanks to all that have served and are still serving. It can't be said enough.
I'm prior service Army, 4 years (92 - 96), as a 67Y (Cobra Attack Helicopter Mechanic). 2/4 Cavalry, Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Also spent a year in Korea at Camp Stanley just outside Oijungbu. I was fortunate to have not had any combat duty, but I think we all need to thank those that have made and are making enormous sacrifices to defend our freedom.
Any other helicopter crewchiefs on here?

RE: Military Members!
First off...thanks to everyone in the Armed Forces! Man I love this forum more and more each day!
I have respect for all branches of the Armed Forces but I get so excited when I hear "Air Force." Does anyone here actually pilot FIGHTER PLANES?!?!? Even to this day I pee my pants when I hear anything about fighter planes. Ever since I was young when I used to visit my family in Greece in the mountains, I used to wait outside for the F-16's to roar by so I could get a quick glimpse. I used to have dreams about it. To this day I still think this one plane acknowledged me when he was flying SOOO low...I waved like a lunatic and I think he waved back with the planes wings (I'm hoping and will always believe he did).
A few weeks ago I was washing the Stang (in the Bronx NY mind you) and all of a sudden I hear this foreign plane sound, not like the commercial jets that fly over my house. By the time I got out of my car (cleaning the inside) I missed whatever it was and saw people staring in the sky and screaming "what the hell was that?!?." Low and behold a FREAKING STEALTH BOMBER flew right over my house. I was so upset I missed it...very upset!
Man I think fighter planes and fighter pilots are the s**t! Tell us if you are and what plane you fly...heck...helicopters too! I used to read up on all that stuff.

USAF Pilot C-141-B 1985-1991. We penetrate, drop our load, and leave. The best time of my life!!! Oh, and we flew a bunch of those "Fighter Pilots" in the back of the 141 across the pond so they could participate in dropping bombs and bullets!!!
