Default Need Your Help - Looking for 2006...

What we want is a new 2006 Mustang Coupe - Performance White Clearcoat. We prefer V6 but will consider GT. We are looking for an Automatic with Dark Char/Red Leather Interior, Pony Package, Shaker 500, Active alarm, all that stuff.... If Dark Charcoal is available (without red leather seating) it will be considered.

Please send me an e-mail if you know of any dealership in the Texas area that has one of these cars. We searched all night and my girl went to bed with tears in her eyes. She really wants this car. Her idea is to do a Red, White, and Blue theme with the car and wants the white base to start with. The red seats is a plus. Guys, you have to help me out.

If you really want that car, I would go to your closest dealer and ask him to do a search. If he doesnt find anything you can order it, but it will take a few weeks/months for it to be delievered.

there is a 5 star ford close to where I live and they had about 25 GT's and 15 sixxxers on the lot. The service sucks though.

I've been looking online all day from work and ever since I got home. As far as going to the local dealer (the same one I bought my last two Mustangs from), I did that today, at lunch, and amazingly enough he came right back with the two 2007 V6's on the lot. That is all fine and good but the $$ deal is on the 2006 right now. We are looking for a 2006, not the 2007, and they are hard to come by now. We found one in College Station earlier but when we called they gave us the financing run-around - "Oh that... no, that was for all the OTHER cars, not the Mustang..." When we had already spoken with three other dealers tonight who didn't have a car but did have the same financing deal on 2006 Model End Cars - Mustangs included. Needless to say we were very disappointed. If they hadn't jacked us around we'd be driving to College Station, TX in the morning.

I bought mine two weeks ago from North Central Ford in Richardson. If you are a Costco member, call Costco and and sign up for their vehical purchase program-then you can contact the Fleet Department. You will not get any run around and BS. Ask for Shannon or Debbie in the Fleet Dept. Tell them Brian sent you. They will try their best to get your car. Good Luck!!!

I doubt that you will find many 2006 Mustangs, period. Ford had a fire sale with 0% multi-tier financing last month and I would guess most '06 cars are gone. Have you looked into using an X-plan pin to get an '07? They are offering $500 cash on them and with the X-plan making up the difference of the $1500 rebate from the '06, you can get a newer car at about the same cost.

Oh definitely... all over TX and OK. Found two so far - the one in College Station and another in New Braunsfels. Yesterday we actually found a Stampede and called but it had just sold. That would have been cool - two of those in the driveway. Anyway, we're headed to the dealership today. They may bring the one from College Station up here... we'll see.

I hope you find what you're looking for. It's just that look at the date... it's getting a little late for finding any V-6's that have the exact options you'd like. I'm wondering what if you expanded your search by maybe dropping the Pony Package option. It can all be added in the aftermarket...
Anyway, good luck and let us know how you did. Maybe you'll have the newest 2006 here!

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, we didn't get what we were looking for.

The car in College Station had been damaged on the lot by a car trailer and was in the body shop when we called. Information they gave to us but not our local dealer. Our local dealer was going to charge us more overall to get that car here than if we took a 2007. So... we looked and discussed and looked and discussed. End result was a 2007 Mustang Coupe, V6, in White with Charcoal interior (cloth).
