mine has throttle lag too 
I was thinking about doing cl & tune..
but some cars having problem with pinging, or car doesn't start after the tune.

Get a C&L CAI .. a SCT II tuner.. have it dyno tuned by a pro at a shop near you.. JMO on that.... the extra money you spend for 93 octane is chump change.. ( at least where I live ) * IE: fuel is $2.10 for 87 .. 93 is $2.20.. 16 gallon fuel tank.. I just spent $1.60 for a faster car .. no throttle lag.. shifts great when you drive normal.. also barking the tires hard in 2nd and 3rd.. ( but I also have Ford 3.73 gears ).. total cost.. a big old grin on my face..priceless.. life is to short not to have that big old grin..
