WOW is not a strong enough word. She shifts so much smoother now. I have a 5 speed and its an instant improvement. the engine runs a ton smoother also. So if you are thinking about it, do it. You wont regret it. Also look around, i found a place that sells RP 5w20 for only 5.85 a quart. If any one wants his number just ask

I know AmericanMuscle sells it for I think 5.95. Free shipping. I ordered mine and it was here in like 2 days... pretty nice. I'm not exactly sure how to change the transmission fluid in this car, or else i'd go with it.

there are two 3/8 nuts on the back of the tranny. one on top side passanger side and the other right on the bottom. you jack up your car so its up even so youcan get under. you take off the top bolt then the bottom so the oil will come out. Then put the bottom one back on and then you need a oil pump of some kind. I used a giant syringe and fill it and a tube went into the hole and then i filled it up. it took 3.2 quarts of atf oil. Hope that helps.

Hello, i put in the Royal purple ATF automatic tranny oil. it sounds wrong but that is what it said in the owners manual. Was only 6.95 a quart so not so bad and not that bad to change but i felt the difference right away. Thanks for the question and good luck

Oh I totaly forgot about that
Manual Transmission FluidĀ» Synchromax is recommended for manual transmissions that specify automatic transmission fluid, multi-viscosity motor oil or straight grade motor oil.

I just did mine this past weekend. 6 quarts RP 5W-20, 3+ quarts RP Synchromax, 1 Oil-Tite magentic drain plug (14x1.5).
The shifts do seem smoother.
BTW, If you live in the SoCal area (Orange County), Autobacs (local) has the RP 5W-20 for $5.99 and RP Synchromax for $8.49.
One other note. Since the Hulk installed the oil filters at the factory, I (like others) had somewhat of a hard time getting it off. So, I took my trusty 5" steel c-clamp and clamped it at the end of the filter and was able to get it off. I really like where Ford put this filter, easy to get to.
Someone mentioned about poking a hole in the filter to drain most of the oil - that's what I did, excellent tip. Less mess.
