Default My warranty work story.

Just wanted to share my warranty work story with the people that say mods Voids your warranty. Some dealers do and some don’t.

Took the stang in today WITH my mods. The first thing I did was, ask for the service manager. I told him I needed some warranty work done but I have a few mods on and Will this void my warranty? He said what kind of mods? I smiled and said, 75hp Shot Zex Nitrous Oxide, C&L Cold Air Intake, C&L Diablosport Predator 93 Octane Tune and Ford Racing Stinger Exhaust. He laughed and asked what kind of problems are you having? I told him about the TSB diff. problem and the shifter having a hard time going into park. He said, well to tell you the truth, we don’t care what kind of mods you have, just as long as the mod didn’t make the problem. I said, Cool, will you log down that I have mods on my car? He said NO
They replaced the clutch packs in rear diff. and adjusted my shifter cable. This was under warranty and free of charge. In and out in 8 hours…..

Nice example of a good dealership that actually has some brains in their head.

Cars looking good, you do the stripes yourself?

Dam TN is gonna be a long drive to get my warranty work done from VA

That is a cool service center, obviously someone knows the benefit of keeping a customer and that repeat business is the only way to go. Make friends with the guys there, and trust me it will get to a point where even if the mod did cause the problem they will fix it under warranty. I have seen it

Now I just hope the Ford dealers near me are as cool.

MURFREESBORO!!! I HATE MURFREESBORO!!! That place has bad memories for me!!

About 5 years ago, I was with my girlfriend of the time helping her move back home after an internship at NASA. We were driving from Cape Canaveral, FL. to Minneapolis, MN with all of her belongings inside. About halfway thru, right in Murfreesboro, TN. I was driving her parent's purple Dodge Caravan. About 12:30am in the morning, pouring down rain. I'm in the right lane going about 50-55...at one point a semi zips by my in the left lane doing about 75 or so. The semi threw up so much splash and spray that I was temporarily blinded to what was in front of me. Well right at that time some dumbass from GA. was also in the right lane, but was going about 20mph. By the time I saw them it was too late and SMACK! Had to wait like 3 hours for a tow truck. then had to stay in some rank *** roach motel. The next day because the minivan was non-driveable. We had to rent something to tow the minivan with. The ONLY thing we could get in poe-dunk Murfreesboro was a full size UHaul truck with a wheels-up car carrier! We drove the entire rest of the way in an EMPTY full-size Uhaul towing a trailer with her parent's busted *** minivan towed behind!! I HATE MURFREESBORO!

(although RW06STANG, I'm sure it's a lovely place...once you get to know it)

Funny side note: I had never met her parents before that day. So our initial meeting was with me carting their minivan that I had just totalled the day before.....the "girlfriend of the time" is now my wife....funny how things work out.

THIS ISN'T OFF TOPIC IS IT??? naaaaah.
