Default New experiance for me at the Strip tonight

I went to bradenton Drag strip tonight to try and get some better times out of the car before going with the LT's and X pipe.

So I get there early, was actualy number 5. Park the car by the pits, lower the rears to 25lbs and pop the hood to cool down the engine and intake.
So at 6 when they let us run, I'm first. I blow the run by just spinning all thru first, zero traction. I quickly drive back around and was able to run again within a minute of my last run.
I launch perfect and the time slip showed a 2.0x 60' when I powershifted into second, I had my new experiance. The tires broke free an lit up (these are the stock 18's) and the car got sideways by at least 30 degrees, nailed the rev limiter and I was able to get off it enough to straighten her out and get down the track . With a 13.65 @ over 104mph.

Next run I squeezed off a 13.491 @ 104.65mph with a 2.05 60' (was my best of the night) but I had to let off on the 1-2 shift..

The other fun run was the one after my best. Another 2.0x 60' but once again got sideways real bad and had to let out and got another 13.62 with just a hair under 105mph.
Best MPH was 105.02 with a 13.69 run and 2.23 60'

after a couple guys were talking to me about my nice tail whips on the track, I came to find out that they had just stripped the track the past week. So there was no rubber built up on it.. So I am thinking of going to Gainsville the weekend if they are having a test and tune session. No one at the track was hooking up, which was a bummer.

I know the car has low 13's in it.. Long as I can run a 2.0 60' and get it to hook on the 1-2 shift I think I should be able to get a 13.2- 13.1 with 105mph

Air temp was about 75-78 degrees and abit humid. Give it another month or 2 and it will be full on race season here in Fl.

No test and tune this Sat., but i'll be going Wed. if you want to race. I have never gotten sidewayz in second at the track, but it frequently happens on the street without power shifting. Today on my way home I scared the crap out of myself. I took off in first hard, but not to redline and got way more sidewayz than normal in second. I scared the guys in the honda accord coming the other way. I got a new tune with the TC disabled which seems a little different than my other 93 oct tune.

I hope it doesn't get sidewayz at the track in second, i have enough problems keeping it straight in first. Nice times by the way. 13.6@106 is my best time at Gainesville.

You will need a helmet at the Gainesville track if you run faster than 13.99, which you will. They don't check what type it is so I wouldn't worry to much about dot/snell, but I ordered a snell aproved full face for $84 bucks just to be safe.

I just got back into tampa this week.. Spent the time unloading the moving truck. That sucked. Now i need to unpack everything.

I'm hoping to have time early next week to call them up and go see them. I want to have the LTs installed by december so I can make use of the noce weather we will be having..

Ok cool. I heard Sam at Coastal is good to deal with. I got to take mine to get it dyno tuned but Coastal doesn't use SCT. VMP in Orlando area is supposed to be very good but expensive as hell.

VMP Tuning is awesome..

I knew Justin back when he was still in HS. He does awesome work on mustangs.. You can't go wrong with him.

He also takes care of his customer. You can also notice that my Tune was done by Justin.. It put 285 down to the wheels while logging 100 degree air
